The Magnificent Mile® Association invites you to a holiday traffic-focused meeting on safety and security in The Magnificent Mile District.

CPD, the Cook County Sheriff's Office's Organized Retail Crime Task Force, and The Association will be on hand to share steps to decrease retail theft during the busy holiday season, followed by a Q&A session.

For thirty-two years, The Wintrust Magnificent Mile Lights Festival® has been a thrilling celebration: A day-through-night, mile-long holiday extravaganza. Its centerpiece is the largest nighttime parade in the United States. Led by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse of Walt Disney World® Resort, the spectacular parade down North Michigan Avenue features fabulous floats, giant helium balloons, marching bands from across the country, popular celebrities, musical performances, Santa Claus on Wintrust's grand finale float, The Wintrust Fireworks Spectacular, and one million lights illuminating The Magnificent Mile's 200+ trees.

The Magnificent Mile Association invites you to an exclusive opportunity to hear from tourism leaders at our 2024 Fall Luncheon. Daniel Thomas, Deputy Director of the Illinois Office of Tourism (IOT) at the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity will discuss the latest trends shaping tourism in Illinois and share strategies for enhancing Chicago and The Magnificent Mile district's allure to global visitors. 

Rich Gamble, Interim President and CEO of Choose Chicago, will join the discussion, moderated by Kimberly Bares. Together, they'll offer valuable insights into the future of tourism in our city. This is a private member event, not open to the press.
