Sweetwater Tavern invites guests to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day downtown just steps from the parade and famous green Chicago River! On March 17, the restaurant’s annual Patio Party begins at 9 a.m. and offers an outdoor space for guests to mingle, listen to bagpipers, and drink beer to get in the Irish spirit.
Diners can get the Irish celebrations going all week long from March 13-19 with food specials at Sweetwater Tavern. Specials include Corned Beef Reuben with braised corned beef, champagne sauerkraut, Guinness caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, and whole grain whiskey mustard on toasted marble rye bread, Shepherd’s Pie with vegetables and goat cheese potato puree, and Corned Beef Poutine with crispy fries, onion gravy, cheese curds, and herbed breadcrumbs.
