To celebrate and commemorate Pastry Chef Scott Green’s five years with The Langham, Chicago, Pavilion launches a Farewell Tea featuring a selection of his greatest hits, all personally made by Chef Scott himself. For one day only on Saturday, August 25, the tea offers an assortment of sandwiches: Shrimp Toast, Cucumber, Grilled Vegetables on Tomato Focaccia, and Barbeque Chicken Slider; scones served with blackberry jam, honey butter, and Devonshire cream; and a selection of desserts including Violet Noir Éclair, Strawberry Black Pepper Petit Four, and Cherry Lime Tartlet. Guests may choose from a variety of teas such as The Langham Blend, a sophisticated twist on a classic English breakfast, and Palm Court Blend, an exclusive and unique blend of the finest quality Chinese white tea, hibiscus flowers, rosehip, and pink rose petals.
