Capture the magic of the holidays at the Museum of Science and Industry. Special exhibits offer families a one-of-a-kind experience filled with cultural celebrations, LEGO® activities, live performances—and Santa Claus.
At the center of the Museum’s Rotunda stands the 45-foot-tall, floor-to-dome Grand Tree, adorned with more than 30,000 twinkling lights. Surrounding the Grand Tree, guests can enjoy more than 50 beautifully decorated trees and displays, showcasing rich holiday traditions and customs. Each tree represents a different country or culture, decorated by volunteers from Chicago’s diverse communities. Guests can also listen to festive music and watch “snow” as it falls inside the Museum every 30 minutes.
New this year and in celebration of MSI’s current temporary exhibit Brick by Brick, LEGOinspired activities and décor will be sprinkled throughout the Museum. Special LEGO ornaments built by members of Chicago organizations and public figures will be on display.
