Join us as stuttering poet and musician JJJJJerome Ellis performs excerpts from and discusses their new book, Aster of Ceremonies.
This will be the first public offering of the Poetry Foundation’s Crip Talks, a series of workshops and artist talks by disabled writers, artists, and activists organized by the Poetry Foundation’s Accessibility Task Force.
This is a hybrid event, which will be offered in-person and via livestream.
JJJJJerome Ellis is an animal, artist, and proud stutterer. He makes music and writes books. He lives in Norfolk, Virginia, with his wife, ecologist-poet Luísa Black Ellis. They love walking in the woods, reading, and drinking tea together.
