What's in a portrait? Have you ever thought about how photographs, selfies, and paintings are all forms or Portraiture?
Families will learn about the art and meaning of portraits in the past and how we make portraits today by exploring the museum’s exhibitions Beauty’s Legacy: Gilded Age Portraits in America, and Gilded Chicago: Portraits of an Era. Kids will go on a scavenger hunt and create their own portrait!
