Hamilton the musical makes its Chicago debut
Hamilton tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, one of the United States' founding fathers. Hamilton was an immigrant who eventually became one of George Washington's closest confidants during the Revolutionary War. Hamilton was also the first individual to become the Treasury Secretary for America. The music numbers of the performance combine influences of jazz, rap, and hip-hop. The musical Hamilton takes a story caught in history and transforms it into a modern American tale.More in
