In celebration of National Martini Day on Wednesday, June 19, spies imbibing at SafeHouse Chicago can uncover the espionage-themed bar and restaurant’s specialty Martini Flight.
Offered for one-day-only, the cocktail flight features three, four-ounce Absolut Vodka martinis. The trio of sips pay homage to famous spy movie characters, including:
- Eva Green: SafeHouse’s version of an Appletini pays homage to the James Bond: Casino Royale character, Vesper Lynd. Green’s clandestine character coined the appropriate catchphrase “shaken, not stirred.”
- Mademoiselle Rosie: This Cosmo has gone undercover with two pseudonyms—combining the names of CIA agent operative Rosie Carver (alias Mrs. Bond,) and henchwoman Mademoiselle Deladier from Moonraker.
- Triple Agent: Spying on one side only to turn the other cheek—this Dirty Martini isn’t as faithful as it seems.
Spies can purchase the flight for $14 at the Interpol Bar, along with other Undercover Happy Hour offerings like half-price craft cocktails and specials for domestic beer, select wines, and well drinks. Undercover Happy Hour is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and includes Fried C4 Cheese Curds, Camp Stanley Nachos, Bird Watchers Wings, and other light bites for $6.
