MUSIC AS MEDICINE: VIRTUAL CONCERT TO SUPPORT FRONTLINE WORKERS

Music has that unique ability to bring people together, lift spirits and quite literally, heal our minds.

Music as Medicine is a special live-streamed concert to honor those healthcare workers on the front lines, and to give those of us at home something to cheer about. The event is free. Every $10 donation buys two N95 masks for a Chicago healthcare worker. Donate here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/chicago-frontline-angels

Music as Medicine is presented by Chicago Frontline Angels (CFA) in partnership with Halo and Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago (PHIMC) with performances by local Chicago artists Shawnee Dez, ANDIE, Pete Galanis & Andrea Miologos and co-hosted by NBC Sports Chicago Anchor Leila Rahimi!

The concert will be hosted via Facebook Live on both the HALOdotscience and Chicago Frontline Angels Facebook Pages.

CFA is a grassroots volunteer effort started to address the troubling shortage of protective masks for healthcare workers in Chicago. In just four weeks, CFA has raised more than $30,000 and delivered 5,000 N95 respirators and surgical masks to Chicago’s hardest hit hospitals on the South Side and the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH). Learn more on the CFA GoFundMe page.

Halo is an open innovation platform that connects scientists directly with companies to bring more research to the world.
