Presenting "Spirited, polished interpretations imbued with spontaneity and imaginative flair" - The New York Times
Actéon—the story of the young hunter turned into a stag—and Pygmalion—the story of a beautiful statue magically brought to life—are transformed into riveting operatic masterpieces in the hands of Marc-Antoine Charpentier and Jean-Philippe Rameau, two of the greatest composers in French music history. Canadian tenor Colin Ainsworth is featured in both title roles of this double bill, in a tour that includes Chicago, Opera Atelier’s hometown Toronto, and the Palace of Versailles, France.
Performed in French with English surtitles.
