Celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Ice Worker Sings, by the late Andrés Montoya—for whom Latinx poetry’s first-book prize is named. Join Ada Limón and Heidi Andrea Restrepo Rhodes to hear selections from this classic Chicano text as well as a generous sampling of their own work. Limón won a National Book Critics Circle Award for The Carrying; her previous collection, Bright Dead Things, was a finalist for a National Book Award. Restrepo Rhodes is the author of The Inheritance of Haunting, winner of an Andrés Montoya Poetry Prize, selected by Limón; Restrepo Rhodes’s work has been published, exhibited, and performed in Pank, Huizache, the National Queer Arts Festival, The Sick Collective, and Galería de la Raza, among others. There will be an ASL interpreter at this event.
