Penguins are returning to Lincoln Park Zoo’s new, state-of-the-art Robert and Mayari Pritzker Penguin Cove, opening to the public Thursday, Oct. 6, as a part of The Pride of Chicago Campaign.
African penguins, jackass penguins, or black-footed penguins—regardless of what you call them, they’re returning to Lincoln Park Zoo’s new, state-of-the-art Robert and Mayari Pritzker Penguin Cove, opening to the public Thursday, Oct. 6, as a part of The Pride of Chicago Campaign. Visitors will be immersed in the dynamic world of African penguins and learn about how Lincoln Park Zoo helps conserve this critically endangered species in the wild through programs like Saving Animals From Extinction (SAFE), an Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) initiative.
