Contemporary sound-based artists transform your MCA experience on a select day of the month with custom soundtracks reflecting their perspective of works on view in the museum.
DJ sets and bands occupy spaces in the museum as the building itself amplifies their sound constructions. For this Soundtrack, Joelle Mercedes installs time-sensitive sound pieces throughout the museum in response to Forecast Form: Art in the Caribbean Diaspora, 1990s–Today.
This Soundtrack is organized by Iris Colburn, Curatorial Assistant, and Otez Gary, Community Engagement Manager, with the Artistic Division and Community Engagement teams.
