The Art of Seating: 200 Years of American Design

This exhibit features 37 significant examples of American chairs created between 1810 and 2010. Designed for form and function, each of these works of art acts as a window into our national history, culture, and social trends.

The Richard H. Driehaus Museum (40 E. Erie) will host a wide variety of programs during March and April, including events related to its special exhibition The Art of Seating as well as an Irish concert to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and a book club to honor Women’s History Month.
