The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago will be hosting a month-long Spooky Tea series during October where guests are invited to enjoy a bewitching afternoon of ghoulish elegance and tantalizing treats
The full menu offers a variety of sweet and savory selections created by Executive Chef Guenther Moreno and Pastry Chef Toni Roberts adorned with tasteful touches of spooky elegance.
Highlights include finger tea sandwiches like 400 Year Old Ghost, made with prosciutto di parma, cornichons, grain mustard cream cheese and brioche pullman; Crabby, made with crab salad, peppers, lemon aioli and charcoal bread; Hands Off, made with smoked salmon, capers and dill spread; and Spike, made with cucumber, heirloom tomatoes, borsin spread and Pullman. The menu also features Carbonara Quiche, made with bucatini, smokey mushroom and parmesan; freshly baked scones; and an assortment of pastries such as Candy Corn Parfait, with butterscotch cremeux, pumpkin pie and caramel corn; Madeleine Mummy, with lemon cake and blood orange jam; Monster Under the Bed, with blackberry mousse choux and pistachio diplomat cream; RIP Chocolate Tart, with salted caramel and super dark chocolate ganache; and Full Moon Macaron, with peanut butter banana and silver dust. Guests can choose from a an enchanting array of teas curated by French tea house Palais De Thes, or enjoy a bubbling flute of rose champagne - all set to the spellbinding atmosphere of Torali, the modern Italian steakhouse perched on the 12th floor of the hotel.
