World Penguin Day

Penguin lovers can waddle their was to Brookfield Zoo on Saturday, April 21, and join in the World Penguin Day celebration. Activities for the entire family will be taking place between 10 am and 3 pm.

 Activities for World Penguin Day include. Penguins painting canvasses, note cards for sale featuring images of the penguin’s paintings, attend zoo chats and observe penguins being fed, penguin artifacts at the information station, and a 6 foot tall penguin sculpture made of plastic trash to remind everyone about the negative impact plastic waste pollution has on ocean life.

Also, those interested in helping care for the Humboldt penguins at Brookfield Zoo can contribute to the Share the Care program for $35.
