This dazzling, free celebration promises a day full of family fun, culminating in the nation’s largest evening holiday parade.

The Wintrust Express: Get ready for the magnificent Wintrust Express! This year, it’s packed with excitement, including Illinois’ very own Paris 2024 Olympians: track star and gold medalist Shemier Little and ice-skating champion Alexa Knerim. The legendary Quad City DJs will keep the party rolling with their hit C'mon Ride the Train! Woo woo!

The Wintrust Mascot Party: Parade favorite, the Wintrust Mascot Party, will also join the Wintrust Express. Buck, the host of this holiday celebration, is bringing holiday cheer to all with plenty of member events, activities, and treat dollars through Wintrust Junior Savers and Teen Banking Clubs!

Santa Kermit the Frog: Hi-ho! This super colossal helium balloon, Santa Kermit the Frog, is beloved by fans of all ages since 1955 and joining us to spread the holiday spirit on November 23rd along The Magnificent Mile.

Animal: The wild drummer from Dr. Teeth & the Electric Mayhem, Animal, is sure to rock the beat as he joins our musical guests to make this holiday parade an unforgettable experience!

Special Olympics
The Special Olympics movement all started here in Illinois, back in 1968, with the first-ever Special Olympics games at Soldier Field. Since then, the Illinois program has grown to serve a vibrant community of more than 55,000 athletes, Unified partners, coaches, and volunteers across the state, with and without intellectual disabilities. With year-round training and competition in 18 sports, these athletes inspire us all, showing incredible courage, joy, and determination.
